First-floor Children's Reading Room |
| |
This area is for the use of young readers and their guardians and provides all manner of children's reading materials, periodicals and newspapers. We also organize a range of activities designed to promote children's intellectual and skill development. These include story time, junior readers' mailbox, arts and crafts, class visits and video appreciation. |

Second-floor General Reading Room |
| |
This room has a capacity for around 250 people, and provides students and the general public with a quiet and comfortable place to read. It may also be used to hold educational activities. |

Fourth-floor Periodical Room |
| |
The periodical room has a capacity for around 120 people and keeps readers up to date with subscriptions to more than five hundred Chinese and foreign magazines and more than 20 newspapers. |

Fourth-floor Open-stack Reading Room |
| |
These are the library's general collections. Some 180,000 volumes are conveniently displayed in open stacks for readers to borrow, and around 10,000 new books are added each year. |

Fourth-floor reference Room |
| |
A wide range of reference materials such as encyclopaedias, dictionaries, indices, catalogues, statistical data, local records concerning Taoyuan County and information about writers from the area are provided. There is also a special counter providing tourist information |

Fourth-floor Individual Audio-Visual Rooms |

These rooms have a capacity for fifty people and provide audio and video materials for appreciation by library patrons. |

Individual Consultation Rooms |

For special cases or those needing to face to face meetings with counselors, individual consultation may be booked in these rooms, providing a more appropriate method for dealing with problems. |

Group Consultation Room |

This room provides a site for professional group counseling, family counseling and education with audio-visual equipment. |

Discussion Room |
| |
The Center also organizes various growth groups for members of the teaching, counseling and outreach staff to improve and diversify the educational aspects of their work. |

Children's Play Room |
| |
This room targets preschool children with learning disabilities, emotional problems or communication difficulties. Through the process of play, which includes both educational and counseling aspects, and by allowing parents and children to participate together, the center hopes to foster better relationships between parents and children. |

The Taoyuan Museum of Chinese Furniture |
|
|
 |
The museum has a total floor area of 319 ping (1,055 sg.m). The main exhibitions include traditional Chinese furniture; furniture from the early period of Chinese immigration to Taiwan; Taoyuan (Ta-shi) regional style furniture; and traditional furniture making skills. The museum provides a guided tour service for groups, tape-recorded tours, an audio-visual tour and a readers' tour of the museum's specialized library.

Main Hall |

(1) This hall provides a space for ribbon-cutting and other inaugural ceremonies for the center's various art activities, or a venue for tea parties.
(2) The hall is equipped with a service desk, which provides information and ticketing services, and also receives the public's comments and suggestions.
(3) There is also a literature and arts information counter which responds to public requests for information. |

This room can accommodate 30-45 people and is available for small meetings or briefings. |
