Located in the southeast of Taoyuan Hsien, Fu-shing Shiang is 400 - 2,000 meters above sea level. The southwest wind in the summer and the northeast wind in the winter bring cool air and moisture to this area. Fu-shing Shiang occasionally has a little snow in winters .

The climate here is suitable for warm climate fruits. Peach and plums are the most popular fruits produced in Fu-shing Shiang. The San-ba-ling, Shing-shin, and Shieh-wu-nou tribal lands are major production areas of peaches. With the government's assistance, farmers are able to produce high quality peaches with bright colors, tenderness, and sweetness. It is not exaggerating to say that Fu-shing Shiang's peaches are of top quality .

The production period of the peach is quite short. Quantity is not high, either. The peaches are mainly for sale domestically. In the high production season of June and July each year, tourists from all over flock into Fu-shing Shiang. At the time when we are chopping down forests and planting warm climate fruits, we have damaged the environment and polluted Da-hang River. As such, we may have the crisis of mountain erosion and landslides in the rainy season. As we plant more fruits and enjoy their sweetness, we need to contemplate our environmental issues .
